The Fault In Our Stars: Review (No Spoilers)

When I told my daughter I was taking her to the press preview of The Fault In Our Stars she was so excited she re-read the book (in two days!).  We both had read it years ago and loved it and were a little nervous about the movie adaptation.  We had no reason to be worried.  It was well cast (for the most part) and well done, and the few changes that they made- to the beginning of their relationship and to the end of the movie –  actually helped the story to make more sense.

The audience was filled with teen girls, most of them from Book Clubs (which I thought was adorable!).  We all had to relinquish our phones, get our purses checked,  AND get wanded before we went into the theater. they are SERIOUS about spoilers!.  So I’m not going to give anything away; however, I WILL say that Augustus Waters was incredibly well-cast.  There were squeals the first few times he appeared on screen and every time he said one of the more popular lines from the book.  My daughter and I agreed that was our favorite part.

Remember to take tissues when you go see it this weekend – they didn’t change the ending THAT much!
