Rolling Stones In And Out Of Israel (Video)

The Rolling Stones did their first-ever show in Israel Wednesday night when they performed for 40,000 fans in Tel Aviv. The band pushed their start time back 45 minutes so religiously observant fans could attend the concert after the Shavuot holiday. Mick Jagger acknowledged the holiday by greeting the audience in Hebrew, saying, “Good evening, Happy Shavuot.” Outside of Jagger speaking in Hebrew there were no surprises as they stuck to the songs they have been doing on their 14 on Fire tour. Next up is the Netherlands on Saturday.

The band arrived in Israel on Monday and did their fair share of sightseeing. Mick, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts visited the Western Wall and the ancient ruins of Caesarea.
