Last night (Sept. 15), Barbra Streisand returned to late night after 50 years to celebrate the release of her new album, Partners, out today. Unfortunately, none of her duet partners, which include Blake Shelton, Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder and Michael Bublé were able to come to the Tonight Show so Jimmy Fallon had to step in.
Babs took the stage to a rousing applause, which she didn’t seem to believe, probably because as she admitted to Fallon stage fright kept her from performing music for 27 years.
As she started in on her first song, “Love Me Tender” with Elvis Presley (“Spoiler alert: he’s dead,” as Fallon confirmed for us) the host walked out in a Elvis wig and signature jumpsuit to help her. “My king,” she said, before moving out of the way of The King’s karate kick.
