Throw Away That Scraper: Awesome New Product Ensures A Clear, Clean Windshield This Winter

Nothing is worse than being late for work and noticing your cars windshield, windows, and mirrors have about an inch of ice conveniently blocking your view. In most cases, we all accept defeat in this situation. We usually scrape off just enough to see out of the front windshield, or we run the defroster on high, watching the minutes tick by as we wait to see a glimpse of the driveway in front of us.

Luckily this winter we no longer have to struggle with this nonsense thanks to two inventors, just funded on KickStarter, who have come up with the IceScreen, a magnetic ice shield reinforced with a double waterproof coat – it will keep your windshield free from ice, snow and frost through the worst of winter.

Inventors Dan Miller and Andy Wright talk about how they came up with this simple, yet effective idea. “We began this project 2 years ago, testing and retesting every aspect over 2 winters. The first covers were made in Andys dining room until we were able to find a good manufacturer that could produce them in the same high quality we expected. As two busy fathers we were disappointed and frustrated by the lack of quality and functional options available on the market – so we decided to put our mechanical and technical skills together and ended up with this practical and user-friendly product. When neighbors, friends and family all started requesting one too, we knew we were on to something that would be useful to others as well. Thus, the iceScreen™ magnetic ice shield was born and we now want to share it with the world.” The standard IceScreen retails for $24.95 and is available at icescreen.com
