He says, “Rod Stewart, Ron Wood and me are still going to do the Faces this year. When we do, we’ll have the bartender on stage again — and a coffee machine for Woody.”

And Woody, who’ll be out with the Stones in the spring and summer, says, “There’s got to be a heavy dose of humor in everything we do. Ian epitomized the funny side of things, even in the most dire conditions.”

Woody, Jones and Stewart performed together at Rod’s 70th birthday party in January.

The death of McLagan, from a stroke, follows the passing of bassist Ronnie Lane in 1997. Small Faces (which preceded the Faces) singer Steve Marriott died in 1991.
