Dear President Obama: Please Invite Madonna to the White House

Madonna‘s last few months might be best characterized by her resiliency. Despite the leak of (multiple times) of her latest album, Rebel Heart, she still managed to go number one on the Billboard 200. Despite falling down at the BRITS, she got up and finished her performance.

So when is the pop star gonna get a break? In a recent interview with US Weekly, Madge revealed another slight that has irked her: she has not met President Obama.

Okay, sure, most of us haven’t met the President of the United States personally, but most of us aren’t Madonna. And, if anyone deserves a night of dinner and dancing with the leader of the free world, it is the singer that has been an activist for free speech and self-expression.

“The person I most want to meet is President Obama,” Madonna told Us Weekly. “When the heck am I going to meet him? He just needs to invite me to the White House already. He probably thinks I’m too shocking to be there. I’m serious. If I was a little bit more demure… or if I was just married to Jay Z. Hey, if Jay would only take me as his second wife, then I’d score an invitation.”
