Van Halen: Touring Detroit And The Rest Of North America

Van Halen will return to the road this summer.

The group’s North American tour will start July 5th in Auburn, Washington and hit 39 cities before it wraps up October 2nd in Los Angeles. The Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band will open up all the shows, which go on sale April 4th.

The tour stops in metro Detroit September 4th at DTE Energy Music Theater.

Van Halen has also announced that they’ll perform a special concert for Jimmy Kimmel LiveMarch 30th on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles. Performances from the concert will be shown on Kimmel’s show March 30th and March 31st. It will be Van Halen’s first U.S. television performance with David Lee Roth. Their second will be on Ellen April 2nd.

All of this activity is to promote the band’s new live album Tokyo Dome Live In Concertand the reissues of Van Halen I and 1984 on March 31st. Remastered versions of Diver Down, Women and Children First, Van Halen II and Fair Warning due out later this spring.
