The 80’s are going to be fully resurrected this summer, as 104.3 WOMC presents 80’s Fest featuring Rick Springfield, Loverboy and The Romantics this Friday at Freedom Hill!
Don’t forget to deck yourself out in full 80’s garb! WOMC Staff will be on the lookout for the best 80’s clothes and someone will end up in the FRONT ROW! Dig through your closet for those Members Only jackets, Flashdance sweatshirts, Miami Vice suits, acid wash jeans, leg warmers, etc.
The three groups, who’ve all become synonymous with the era, have teamed up on a sprawling string of dates starting in Atlanta on Aug. 29. From there, the group will be hitting cities along the coast before making their way to the Midwest and ending Sept. 23 in Oklahoma City.
Detroit finds itself included on the short tour, as the trio of artists will perform at Freedom Hill on Friday, Sept. 18.
Rick Springfield will be drawing from his deep discography of hits and will likely promote his last album Songs for the End of the World. Likewise Loverboy has a recent full-length to draw from, lat year’s Unfinished Business. Meanwhile the Romantics, who haven’t released an album since 2003’s 61/49, will probably stick with the classics.
