By: Jon Corrigan

A new WalletHub study lists Detroit among the worst cities for “staycationing” in the U.S.

The Motor City ranked 118th of the 150 cities included in the study.

WalletHub analysts examined 28 key metrics, from recreation opportunities to cost of relaxation, in their search to identify the most enjoyable and cost-friendly staycation spots in America.

Grand Rapids was the only other Michigan city to make the list, coming in at 31st.

Orlando, Fort Lauderdale and Tampa ranked highest, while New York, Oxnard (Calif.) and Chula Vista (Calif.) rounded out the bottom.
