Have you ever had temporary hearing loss after attending a concert? I can remember that happening after attending may shows back in the day when concerts were less regulated. If fact many took pride in attending a show that was so loud it caused hearing loss for a few days.

Lets flash back to the loudest band in rock history, The Who. It’s the 40th anniversary of the band scoring the title of Worlds Loudest Band” in the Guinness Book of World Records. May 31st 1976 126 decibels where recorded at a Who concert measuring the sound 100 feet away from the speakers. Deep Purple had held the record at 117 decibels. Audio is posted from that show.
