A new WalletHub study lists Michigan as “eh, kinda” when it comes to the safest states in America for 2016.
Michigan ranked 25th in the study which included all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
WalletHub’s analysts compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 25 key metrics. Our data set ranges from “number of assaults per capita” to “unemployment rate” to “estimated losses from climate disasters.”
Vermont, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire ranked highest, while Alaska, Oklahoma, Mississippi rounded out the bottom.
