Here’s a throwback to those low budget local Detroit TV commercials the make the Thrill List Hall of Fame. Any spot with Bill Bonds registers with me, but super cape man Mel Farr is most memorable.

Others on the list are the Sexy Specs commercial from the 90’s and 1-800-Call-Sam spots from the 90’s to today. Gordy, in the ABC Warehouse spots are local hall of famers, and going way back to 1985 is WDIV’s “Tell ‘Em You’re From Detroit.” See 10 video’s of Detroit’s old skool commercials here.
