600 Live Lobsters Purchased From Restaurants And Released In The Ocean

By: Beau Daniels

Here’s something for you animal lovers with compassion. Making a respect for life statement, 600 live lobsters were purchased from restaurants and set free in the ocean. This was done by Buddhist monks on Prince Edward Island. From the Great Enlightenment Buddhist Institute Society, had this to say “We respect everyone’s dietary choice, so we’re not doing this to convert everybody to be vegetarians or vegans. This whole purpose for us is to cultivate this compassion toward others. It doesn’t have to be lobsters, it can be worms, flies, any animals, drive slower so we don’t run over little critters on the street.”

You’ve got to wonder especially where this monastery is if they might be releasing the lobsters in an area where they will be caught again, “Hopefully, we can find a spot where there are no cages waiting for them.” Oddity Central
