Detroit’s Top 10 Greatest Songs

What are Detroit’s Top 100 Songs? Brian McCollum, the Detroit Free Press Pop Music Critic, tells us the Top 10 will be revealed at the Concert Of Colors, Saturday night (July 16th) at Orchestra Hall. Consider this: Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Bob Seger and the Four Tops have songs 100, 99, 98, and 97… so what could possibly be further down the chart? “Yeah, I think there are a lot of other places around the world where those songs at the bottom of our list, would’ve been a top ten anywhere else,” says Brian. The amazing Don Was will return with his Detroit All-Star Revue to perform the top ten, along with special guests like Martha Reeves and others.
