Pokemon Go Leads Criminal To Milford Police Station

By: Beau Daniels

There has been some concern about Pokemon Go leading people into dangerous places, well not so the other day in Milford. Going viral is the fact that Pokemon Go led a guy with outstanding warrants to the Milford Police station where he was immediately recognized. Police Chief Tom Lindberg is feeling better about the game, “A couple of our officers looked out the window and saw him standing out by the flagpole. When I first learned about this game, I was very concerned it was taking young adults into places they shouldn’t necessarily be – and could get hurt, if they’re not paying attention to what’s going on around them, but I never thought someone with a warrant would be so driven by the game that they’d walk right up to the police station.”

Street names are not shown in the game until arriving at the so-called games gym, which coincidentally turned out to be the Milford Police station. So I guess there is some real life excitement with the Pokemon Go, the player ended his adventure in handcuffs.
