Bryan Adams: Playing Meadowbrook Saturday Night New Album Resonating (Video)

Author: Jim Johnson

Tune in to WOMC all this week. 6 times each day we’re giving away tickets to the show Saturday night at Meadowbrook Music Amphitheater. When you win, you’ll qualify for our “Fun in the Sun Summer” grand prize package of a 2 year lease on a 2016 Buick Encore from Suburban Buick, plus 2 Pipeline paddle boards and a Riot kayak from Wilson Marine.

Bryan Adams kicks off his North American summer dates tomorrow night (July 21st) at Chicago’s First Merit Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island. Although Adams has never been known to shy away from playing his classic ’80s hits — this time around, both he and the crowds have been particularly grooving to the tracks from his latest album, the Jeff Lynne-produced Get Up.

Adams told us that the new songs began clicking live from the get-go: “What’s interesting is that they all seem to work as if they’ve always been around for longer than they have been. The songs seem to work really well instantly in the show as if they’ve always been there. Y’know, I’ve done a lot of records where they’ve sounded great in the studio and you get to the stage and it’s like — eh. This album doesn’t have that at all. Every single song seems to work brilliantly live.”
