G.I.S.H.W.H.E.S. is Making The World Measurably Weirder This Week

g.i.s.h.w.h.e.s. (which stands for the Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen) is a 7-time Guinness World Record breaking scavenger hunt hosted by actor Misha Collins (Supernatural).

Thousands of participants from more than 100 countries compete against other 15-person teams and for one week they complete “items”  to try to finish a fun, inspiring, and sometimes impossible scavenger hunt list. Over the years participants have broken several Guinness World Records including: the most global hugs, 108,121; most pledges to commit charitable Acts of Kindness, 93,376, which was in partnership with the non-profit Random Acts  (www.therandomact.org)

Stacey joined a team with her sisters and some of their friends and dragged Holly (and her whole family) into it as well. They are not allowed to post any photos of what they are doing during the week of the hunt but so far it has involved hours unwrapping fruit roll-ups, vending machines, translating Morse Code, many random acts of kindness, 10 lbs of popcorn, goats, cows, Stormtroopers, and a lot of powdered sugar. And the week is barely half over!

The team that scavenges the most items with the highest quality of submissions joins Misha Collins on an all-expenses paid trip to Iceland. So if you get a crazy request from a friend – or a stranger – this week (“Do you know how to make an origami Slangaroo out of bathroom tissue?”) – please do your best to help them out!
