Bar Disables Cell Phones

By: Beau Daniels

You hear a lot of talk about how phones are killing us socially even thought they are our connect to social networks. A restaurant bar is taking that to heart and is disabling cell phones in their business. owner Steve Tyler remakes, “Mobile phones have killed pubs. When you go out socially, you don’t need social media. Rather than telling people they can’t use they phones we’ve basically disabled them.”

Jamming phones is illegal so they block signals from entering their establishment with a device called, Faraday Shield. In case a patron does really need to use a phone they offer landlines and even an old skool rotary phone. Oddity Central has more.
