Family of Oak Park Teacher Who Suffered Traumatic Injury is Holding Dream Cruise Fundraiser

On Memorial Day, Scott Turner, a special education teacher at Oak Park High School, suffered a traumatic brain injury after falling from a ladder onto a concrete slab.

Since the accident, Scott’s wife, Lisa, who describes her husband as the kindest and most generous soul, was forced to take an indefinite unpaid leave from her job in order to provide round-the-clock care for Scott, as well as their three children; ages two, four and six.

In order to raise funds, the Turner family is selling bottled water at the 2016 Woodward Dream Cruise this Friday night from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., one block north of Catalpa (11.5 Mile Rd) on the southbound side.
