Less Social Means Happier

By: Beau Daniels

At least that is the case for those with higher IQ’s. Cosmopolitan reports on a study of over 15,000 adults, “The effect of population density on life satisfaction was therefore more than twice as large for low-IQ individuals than for high-IQ individuals, more intelligent individuals were actually less satisfied with life if they socialized with their friends more frequently.”

So smarter people are looking more at the big picture instead of instant short term gratification, “The findings in here suggest that those with more intelligence and the capacity to use it, are less likely to spend so much time socializing because they are focused on some other longer term objective.” Wow, I did not realize that I’m intelligent, ha.
