City of Pontiac – 

The City will be in top gear over the Woodward Dream Cruise presented by Chevrolet weekend with stellar entertainment in downtown Pontiac. The downtown will feature great classic rock, R & B and oldies with two music stages along Saginaw St. including national music artists that will be announced in early August. In addition, there will be two car shows including the Downtown Pontiac Classic Car Show and the Pontiac City Square Car Show.

In addition, there will be free Arts & Crafts for kids all weekend long from St. Joseph Mercy Hospital and Arts & Scraps, and a special appearance from Optimus Prime of the Transformer’s movie franchise. More entertainment will be announced in coming days including ten outstanding food vendors to provide great eats during the two celebration.

The Woodward Dream Cruise will air on WXYZ-TV, Sat. Aug. 20, 7-9 p.m.

An encore presentation will air on WXYZ-TV, Sun., Aug. 21, 10 a.m. – noon.

A one-hour version of the program will air on more than 100 television stations across the country between Aug. 27 and Sept. 18.
