Michigan Students’ Harambe School ID Prank Goes Viral

By: Jon Corrigan

Remembering the fallen gorilla Harambe, who was killed after an encounter with a 4-year-old boy at the Cincinnati Zoo in May, has become 2016’s most viral meme.

In fact, the Cincinnati Zoo was bombarded so heavily that it shut down all social media accounts earlier this week.

Four seniors at Troy High School cleverly joined the internet craze on Monday, using their student ID cards to preserve the fallen animal’s memory.

Together, their shirts spell out “Harambe 1999-2016.”

The picture has been retweeted over 2,500 times.
