Allman was forced to cancel the remainder of his summer appearances at the start of August in order to receive medical treatment. However, according to a press release his doctors have given him a clean bill of health and the go ahead to perform live once again.

“I just can’t wait to get back out there,” said Allman in a prepared statement. “I’ve gotten so stir crazy these last few weeks. I feel best when I’m traveling and playing. That’s what keeps me going, and there’s no better place to start than Red Rocks.”

Allman’s tour schedule will resume in earnest with an appearance at Laid Back’s Atlanta date on October 29th and from there he will move on to New York City for his annual residency at City Winery beginning November 6th.
