Today marks six months since Joe Giudice began serving his 41-month prison sentence for a laundry list of charges, including conspiring to commit mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud.
His wife and star of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, who was released from prison in December after serving 11 months, sat down with E! News and gave updates on her husband.
“He just can’t wait for it to be over,” she told E! News. “He’s doing great, or as best as could be expected. He’s lost over 35 lbs. He’s doing the same thing I did: reading a lot of books, exercising, keeping his head focused on doing what he has to do.”
“He said he’s done Yoga a few times…And he’s said he can’t wait to come home and do Yoga with me!”
Teresa was happy to learn of his health improvement, saying, “It’s good for him to be healthy. He did have high blood pressure before he left because he was stressing so much…For him to get healthy and lose weight will be a good thing.”
Teresa, now raising their four daughters alone (ages ranging from 7 to 15), finds herself a little more stressed out.
“It does get stressful with the girls and having a teenager,” she admitted. “I’m doing everything by myself, and I always said I did it before, but, I mean, he was a helping hand. Now, I’m completely by myself so I see the difference.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs Sunday at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
