‘Candy Crush’ to Make the Leap from Mobile App to TV Game Show?

By: Jon Corrigan

Candy Crush is transitioning from your cell phone to your TV. Yep, the popular mobile app – which you regrettably have spent countless hours (and dollars) playing – is becoming a game show on CBS.

Produced by Matt Kuntiz, the one-hour live-action game show will challenge teams of two people to use their “wits and physical agility to compete on enormous, interactive game boards featuring next generation technology to conquer Candy Crush and be crowned the champions.”

Oh and if you think Candy Crush isn’t “a thing” anymore, an average of 18 billion Candy Crush Saga rounds are still played around the world every month. So, yeah.

All that being said, no host has been announced yet, nor has a premiere date been set.
