Solo Eating Restaurant Chain Offers Privacy

By: Beau Daniels

Inspired by seeing women trying to hide their slurping of ramen noodles, an entrepreneur has created solo dining restaurants. Each eating section has a barrier to give all those eating privacy.

Ichiran Ramen started in Japan and has expanded in the US. There is a shutter panel in front of you and when the order is ready, the panel opens and food is handed over. When done a push of the button notifies a person to clear the area. Panels that keep the solo eating area private can be removed if not eating solo. I love this concept, more here.
