Some of the best things I bought, was given, or rediscovered this year. Hope you find something for someone on your list! I apologize that all the ideas are kinda girly this year; it’s been that kind of year.
1701 Pontchartrain exhibition-Swiss. 39mm Watch – The Detroit Watch Company ($1,195.00) – This is the most expensive item on the list and my absolute favorite. Watch the video as Bobby and I find out how these beautiful watches are made.
Hairclip – Madewell ($12.50) – This is my favorite barrette. I keep one in my bag for hair emergencies (mine, and everyone else’s) and every time I loan it to someone they RAVE about it. It’s sturdy, holds a ton of hair, and looks great. Great stocking stuffer.
Relay Capri 2.0 – Athleta ($69) -I realize this is the second year that Athleta has been on my list, but they added a side pocket to these capris which makes them EVEN MORE AWESOME! It holds my phone snugly and was perfect for my passport when I ran the Detroit Free Press Marathon.
Seven Year Pen – Seltzer ($8.95) – My daughter introduced me to these pens and now they are my favorites! I have several. They write well, come in cute designs and are supposed to last for seven years (I’ll let you know!)
Cambridge Notebook – Target ($11.99 – only in stores) – Another great find by my daughter. We love these notebooks because you can circle the date at the top so it’s great for keeping track of things, or using as reference later. We stock up every time we go to Target.
Soft Gel Clear iPhone Case with Cartoon – Amazon.com ($9.99) – These are my favorite new iPhone cases. They are thin, flexible, shock-absorbent and have darling cartoons on the back that incorporate the apple on the back of the phone.
Herban Essentials Towlettes – Amazon.com ($14.99 for 20 mixed) – I keep this in my gym bag, my car, my purse …. pretty much everywhere. They smell great and don’t sting. My favorite are the lemon, but the lavender and peppermint smell great too.
Popsocket – Popsockets.com ($10.00) – My daughter (the world-traveler) picked up one of these while in South Africa and she swears by it. She uses it for one-handed photos, and watching videos, etc. Another great stocking stuffer!
Team Trevor Bracelet For A Cause – PawnChickShopping.com ($20) – Spoiler Alert! Every woman on my list is getting one of these this year. 100% of the proceeds from each bracelet goes to Trevor Sullivan’s family to help with medical bills after Trevor’s heart transplant. This is the gift that keeps on giving!
Symphonised NRG Premium Wood In-Ear Noise Isolating Earbuds with microphone – Amazon.com ($25) – I prefer ear buds when I run and since I listen to audible books I need noise canceling. These are my new faves. And since they have a microphone I can also use them with my phone.
Corbe Ceramic Michigan-Shaped Dish – CorbeCompany.com ($80) – Fill this with red and green anything and you have the perfect hostess/holiday gift. I took one to my girlfriend last March and she uses it for every party – and she throws a lot of parties!
Wood Old English “D” Detroit earrings – Eastern Market ($15) – I met a woman wearing these earrings at a party and had to track them down. They are so light you can wear them all day and I got SO many compliments on them. Strangers were stopping me on the street to comment on them.
BeautyCounter Mattifying Powder – BeautyCounter.com ($37) – My trainer, *Jaclyn, introduced me to BeautyCounter cosmetics, and I love them! Skincare and makeup without all the chemicals! The mattifying powder is magical, seriously. I swear it blurs everything – like those camera lenses they used for old movie stars – and my pores and fine lines practically disappear.
*Jaclyn is a Trainer and Wellness Coach. Another great gift idea is booking a few sessions with her. When you start to falter on those New Year Resolutions she can keep you on the right track.
